FOX HAT TRICK FIRES TREGONY IN TO NEXT ROUND OF COUNTY CUP

Mawgan FC ply thier trade in St Pirans League Division Three West having progressed after winning 2-0 away at Mullion 2nds, whilst todays visitors Tregony FC sit 2nd in Division Two East and progressed into this tie after a away victory 3-2 at Bude Town 2nds.

Mawgan FC play at Grade Ruan Manor Recreaton Ground, which is 10 miles to the south of Helston and 4 miles to the east of Lizard Point.

The tie kicked off and the home side playing down the slope was passing the ball around well and had a couple of early chances but failed to hit the net, whilst the visitors played the long ball and earned a cross on the right side, from which DYLAN FOX blasted home from close range to give his side the lead in the 12th minute.

The First half continued in the same fashion with the homesters having the best spell off the game for them and the speedy away team pressed on the break.

The Second Half saw Mawgan gain a corner on the left in the 47th minute, where a low shot by MACK LEWIS_BROWN equalled up the scores.

On 55 minutes, a long punt upfield took a bounce for OLLIE RANDALL to head over the outcoming keeper too give Tregony the lead again.

The home side pressed forward but this left holes in the back and on 66 minutes, this saw the visitors scoring twice within a minute, firstly when TED TRIGGS chipped the keeper, then DYLAN FOX rounded the keeper to make it 4-1.

In the 81st minute, man of the match DYLAN FOX completed h is hat trick, when a corner from the left side went to the back post but was headed back to the near post, where he poked in his 3rd goal of the tie to make it 5-1 and put them in to the hat for the third round.
