BINGHAM TOWN FC 2 KIMBERLEY MINERS WELFARE RESERVES FC 0
Att: 147 headcount
Both sides today went in to the match with players missing, but both giving young lads a run out.
The homesters were straight on the attck from the go, but struggled to make the breakthrough, whilst the Miners pressed forward but the home keeper didnt have any shots to save as their shots went high and wide.
As the sun blazed down on the hottest afternoon of the year, on 29 minutes Town's top scorer JACOB BOYES latched on to a loose ball around 25 yards out and hit a superb shot in to the top corner of the net to open the scoring.
Both sides battled them to and frow from end to end, but the teams went in at half time with homesters narrowly leading by 1-0.
The Second Half kicked off and in the 49th minute, Bingham were reduced to tem men, when a Kimberley forward was through on goal and a late takle from the home defender caught him and the match referee Josh Stanley had no alternative to produce the red card, to which no one complained about. From the resulting free kick, Kimberley had their first shot on target, but the home keeper was aware to save it.
The match continued to go one half to another with both sides having chances, but none really testing the keepers apart from a low drive by a visiting midfielder who bought out a low save by the Town keeper.
With Town using their subs, they began to look the fresher of the two teams and on 76 minutes, a half cleared ball, found its way to Bingham's KIERAN STANLEY who chipped the ball in to a empty net from over 30 yards out to double his sides lead.
Both sides played good football throughout the game and the referee Josh Stanley and his two assistant refs in my opinion all had good matches.

EUROSOCCER NOTTINGHAMSHIRE SENIOR LEAGUE : DEVELOPMENT SPRING DIVISION 1
ARNOLD TOWN DEVELOPMENT 2 BEAUFORT UNITED 6
ATT: 20
A unusual night out for me is a Thursday, but with not mbeing well most the season and feeling a bit better now, its great to get some football watching back at the side mof the pitch on a lovely sunny evening, though went the sun set, it was damn cold.
Nice to meet tonights match official Sean Conneally who in my opinion had a very good match and he got me both teamsheets well before kick off.
I wasnt too sure what to expect this evening, as both teams have struggled to gain a win and with Arnold coming off a 22-0 loss on Saturday against table toppers Quorn Methodists, it really was about how they would react.
So off to the half way line on my mobility scooter and camera at the ready, whilst the match kicked off and it was the visitors having the first few chances, so it came as no surprise when they opened the scoring on just 10 minutes, when a cross from the left side was tapped home by DILLION BOTTONMORE.
This inspired the visitors and they pressed forward missing quite a few good chances, plus the home keeper was in fine form. On to the 27th minute and Beaufort had doubled their lead through a half volley by BENJAMIN HAY from just outside the penalty area.
So it was 0-2 at the half time break, as the home support of dads were at wonder of how their sons would get back in to this game. Infact straight from the kick off, the home faithful were rewarded, when the visiting keeper short played a ball out to his defender but it didnt reach and JOE MOULD reduced the arrears.
On the hour, Arnold were back level, after being awarded a free kick around thirty yards from goal, up stepped ALEX COLE to smash the ball past everyone to make it 2-2..could the Young Eagles go on to turn this game around, well the answer was no, as straight from kick off, the ball was played out to the right wing and found DILLION BOTTONMORE who cut in and curled the ball past the home keeper to restore his sides lead.
Arnold tried to go forward but so did United and it was United who looked o0ne pace quicker than the home side and after 71 minutes, it was the home side who gave LEO WATTS time to place the ball in to the back of the Arnold net to make it 4-2 to Beaufort.
Within minutes, it became 5-2 to the visitors when that man LEO WATTS chipped the home keeper from outside the area, it was now beginning to look like how many the visiting team wouold score, but to the homesters credit they did keep battling, but on 87 minutes, they could do little when a corner from the right hand side, made its way to the back post and ELLIS BURTON just had to tap the ball in to make it a final score of 6-2 to Beaufort United.

EUROSOCCER NOTTINGHAMSHIRE SENIOR LEAGUE: DIVISION ONE
RADCLIFFE OLYMPIC FC 1 MEDEN VALE COLTS FC 6
Having looked out for a match, this one stood out for one reason and that was due to Radcliffe Olympic's Wharf Lane ground, being out of use for the time being due the awful weather we have had over the wintertime, they have been playing a few games at Bingham Road Playing Fields at the opposite end of the village, a ground Id never been to.
The pitch is playing field ground roped off down one side for spectators, but as you enter the ground, you will notice a bus stop both opoosite each other, so ideal for hoppers to get too, a nice car park, a refreshments kiosk and a walk or if like me on a mobility scooter a drive up to the main pitch.
On arrial, we first was greeted by the lovely Marie-Claire, who is a 2 time walking football world cup winner with England, then Mr Olympic himself, John who has been with the club as long as I can recall and is al,ways there to greet and have a chat and make a cuppa. Every Boxing Day, Radcliffe Olympic organise a charity match which John is really proud of and he always knocks up a matchday programme.
With teamsheets got, it was then time to meet todays official Jake Devonport, who in my opinion kept the game flowing and did really well.
The match began with both team stugging with the crosswind, with the ball being played long and it going straight out of play, though both sides did have their chances.
Roll on to 30 minutes, when a ball from the right side was played to the back post for Meden Vale's THOMAS SHARPE to volley home to put his side in to a 1-0 lead.
The wind began to ease and both side were matchingt each other, but just before half time, I think the homesters were looking forward to their half time Jaffa Cafes, when on 43 minutes that man THOMAS SHARPE latched on to a loose ball on the edge of the area to double his sides lead. Meden Vale straight from kick off poured forward and a long ball going nowhere found LIAM JEPSON who guided the ball past the Radcliffe keeper to make it at half time 3-0 to the visitors.
The Secong Half we didnt have to wait very long for another goal to be scored when MASON BROADHEAD stroked the ball from the edge of the box to make it 4-0 to the Colts.
Radcliffe kept batting and on 52 minutes, their styriker was bought down in the box and match referee had no choice but point straight to the spot, to which JOSH LAWLOR stepped up and despatched.
With lots of subs being made to give all players a run out and a chance of time, on 65 minutes, it was one of the Vale subs KIERAN DARBY ho made it 5-1 when he jinxed round the home defence and scooped the ball over the keeper.
Radcliffe kept battling and had a couple of chances but the Colts looked fresher and more experiance and in the 84th minute, their striker GEORGE CAMPS bundled the ball in to the net to give his side a 6-1 away victory.
I must thank Radcliffe Olympic FC for a kind £20 donation at todays match and with the £1.75p from the goals scored take the charity blogs running total to a amazing amount of £3,240.32p. The Blog s in aid of SAMS WORKPLACE, that aids people with special needs on their farm and also their shop, helping with D of E, cooking, CV's and other work expreriances, as well as free board games evening for the adults of all ages. EUROSOCCER NOTTINGHAMSHIRE SENIOR LEAGUE: DIVISION TWO
COTGRAVE RESERVES 3 AFC PARABELLUM 2
Todays match saw the hosts sitting in third place, whilst their visitors who they had beaten twice already this season in the League Cup and league were sitting in second position, both with games in hand with the divisions leaders Wollaton Reserves, but still a lot of points to play for.
On arival, the manager filled mine and Hazels flasks up and soon the interview with him and the club chair took place, which can be seen on the Eurosoccer Nottinghamshire Senior League Facebook Page.
With both teamsheets in from todays referee Tyler Pickworth, the teams entered the pitch and with Hazel taken the Cotgrave Reserves Team Photo for the league sponsors Eurosoccer, the match was soon on its way, as id borrowed a chair to sit near the halfway line in the beautiful sunshine.
In the 27th minute, it was 2-0 when a long throw from the right side again found THOMAS BACON to finish.
Parabellum pushed forward and went close several times and the home keeper was in good form to keep them at bay, until the 39th minute, when a cross from the left wing fell to DILLON ROBERTS to reduce the arrears.
A minute later from the Cotgrave kick off, they poured forward and JOSH KIRK latched on to a 25 yard volley to restore his sides two goal advantage going in to half time.
The Second Half started fast but with drama, as a visiting player saw red for foul and abusive langague, to the anger of his bench.
With Parabellum down to ten men, they seemed to create more and on 72 minutes, there was a glammour of hope when DILLON ROBERTS pulled a goal back.
Parabellum pressed forward but this left gaps at the back, as Cotgrave had a shot that the keeper did really well pushing on to the crossbar and then it bouncing on to the post before being cleared.
As the game headed in to injury time, Parabellum was caught out at the back and the keeper bought down the home attacker, who dusted himself down to take the penalty to make it 4-2, but the keeper had different ideas and pulled off a great save, but it wasnt to save the day for Parabellum.
News came through that Wollaton Reserves had lost today, so Cotgrave Reserves move to the top of the Division.
A good game in which when player went down after fouls, both sets of players got back up and shook hands or helped each other up.
The Charity Blog in aid of SAMS WORKPLACE, that aids people with special needs, with their farm and sweet shop/cafe, Id like to thank the kindness of COTGRAVE RESERVES who donated £20 and with the 5 goals scored at 25p per goal, takes the running total to a amazing £3,218.57p.
