COLLINGHAM FC CREATE HISTORY WINNING THE FA SENIOR TROPHY

 NOTTINGHAMSHIRE FA SENIOR TROPHY FINAL

COLLINGHAM FC 1 SELSTON FC 0

played at Sherwood Colliery FC

Attendance: 284

Collingham FC from the Eurosoccer Nottinghamshire Senior League met Abacus Lighting Central Midlands Alliance League club Selston FC in the Final of the Nottinghamshire FA Senior Trophy Final in a very close and tight match.

Selston began the match better pressing forward but it was a night where defences were on top, Collingham began to grow in to the game and in the 17th minute, a ball was played down the centre of the pitch, where HARRISON GOMM was on hand to lob over the Selston keeper in to a empty net to give Collingham the lead.

Selston were playing down the flanks whilst Collingham was pumping ball down the middle, whilst heading the ball away, Collingham were defending well and keeping the blues at bay.

With time ticking down on the clock, infact 84 minutes, everyone in the ground thought Selston had equalised, when a ball played in from the left wing went around the six yard box and only needed the slightest of touches but it just strayed away from the attacker. Selston threw everything at the Collingham goal, whilst Collingham tried to break clear to add a second on the break in the final few minutes.

Collingham FC won the match and created history by winning the County Trophy for their First ever time.

At the end of the match, the medals and awards were given out and in the clubhouse, Collingham FC were in fine voice and mix with some of the Selston players in a singalong

A nice evening to meet people ive not seen for a long time due to being poorly and nice to just get out.
