Eurosoccer Nottinghamshire Senior League: Premier Division
BINGHAM TOWN FC 2 KIMBERLEY MINERS WELFARE RESERVES FC 0
Att: 147 headcount
Two clubs I always enjoy watching and visiting as they both are welcoming and also serve up good football, today I went to present Eurosoccer Nottinghamshire Team of the Month for March 2026 to the hosts are on a 7 match winning streak before the game and lay third in the Premier Division and could well in the next could of weeks sneak to in the runners up postion if they win their remaining games and Awsworth Villa slip up in any one of theres and the latters last match is away at Champions Cotgrave FC, so a exciting run in awaits.
Both sides today went in to the match with players missing, but both giving young lads a run out.
The homesters were straight on the attck from the go, but struggled to make the breakthrough, whilst the Miners pressed forward but the home keeper didnt have any shots to save as their shots went high and wide.
As the sun blazed down on the hottest afternoon of the year, on 29 minutes Town's top scorer JACOB BOYES latched on to a loose ball around 25 yards out and hit a superb shot in to the top corner of the net to open the scoring.
Both sides battled them to and frow from end to end, but the teams went in at half time with homesters narrowly leading by 1-0.
The Second Half kicked off and in the 49th minute, Bingham were reduced to tem men, when a Kimberley forward was through on goal and a late takle from the home defender caught him and the match referee Josh Stanley had no alternative to produce the red card, to which no one complained about. From the resulting free kick, Kimberley had their first shot on target, but the home keeper was aware to save it.
The match continued to go one half to another with both sides having chances, but none really testing the keepers apart from a low drive by a visiting midfielder who bought out a low save by the Town keeper.
With Town using their subs, they began to look the fresher of the two teams and on 76 minutes, a half cleared ball, found its way to Bingham's KIERAN STANLEY who chipped the ball in to a empty net from over 30 yards out to double his sides lead.
Both sides played good football throughout the game and the referee Josh Stanley and his two assistant refs in my opinion all had good matches.
