SCHOOL TEACH POOR HAYLE A LESSON

 ST PIRAN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE

HAYLE 2NDS 0-7 CAMBORNE SCHOOL OF MINES

Having been to Hayle three times in the past, all have ended up in a draw, but tonight was all different, a young camborne side seemed to be first to the ball and full of running, it wasnt long infact only ten minutes before they took the lead as TOM HIXTON heald off his defender and slotting past the home keeper. The 4 Hayle young Ultras were in fine voice and were talking away to the visiting linesman in a polite way and sharing good banter.

In 27 minutes, the Miners had doubled their lead, when JACOB PHILLIPS broke through and turn his defender fired home low in to the corner of the net. Things were to get worse two minutes later, as TOBY ALFORDS shot was palmed in to the air by the home keeper but it dropped in to the net. It came half time and the homesters had not had a shot on target all half.

With the half time cuppa drunk, the players came back on to the pitch, both having made subs, but it was the away side that started the brighter and after 54 miinutes, JACOB PHILLIPS cut in from the left and placed the ball in to the net. Hayle seemed to be in shock as a minute later they were 5-0 down, whenTOM HIXSON slid hhhome a ball in the 6 yard area following a corner.

Hayle had a spell of play but just could not get a shot, as the visitors defence stood tall and on 67 minutes TOBY ALFORD llow shot passed the keeper from the left hand side.

In the 74th minute, TOM HIXSON completed his hat trick and his sides seventh goal of the game.

On 84 minutes, the visiting keeper made his first save of two of the match.

The game was played in good spirit and the referee Ian Roberts in my opinion had a excellent game, letting the game run and pulling back when no advantage.

I must thank both clubs for their kind support, esp with my mobility scooter that got stuck a couple of times, as  Hayle are having quite a bit of work done insiide and around the ground.

The Charity Blog is in aid of AUTISM AWARENESS and on Sunday Holmans SC Reserves kindly donated £10 and with the 7 goals seen today at 25p per goal takes the running total to £3,093.32p. If anone would like to make a donation, no matter how small, you can do a bank transfer to
